Disassembly                                  

  1. Unscrew the top cover (two screws under/behind, two screws above the spedometer/tachometer, and a screw to the far left and the far right).
  2. Unscrew the switch (a screw under and at the top left).
  3. Unscrew the four screws on the bottom of the switch.
  4. Carefully pry the switch out of the holder.

Problem 1

  You are switching from low beam to high beam and the light disappears

  You may have put the light switch in the middle position with the high/low switch on low beam.
  Push the light switch one notch further to the left.


Problem 2

  You have your car controlled and low beam is on with the light switch in the middle position (parking light). (And the inspector doesn't like it;)

  Turn off the ignition switch (so that the automatic daytime running lights will be disabled). If you still don't get only parking lights: Press the hig/low beam switch.

  (You can only get parking lights alone when the light switch is in the middle position and you have selected high beam. But this may be different depending on how the light is connected, or if the car does not have automatic daytime running lights.)
