Function
You remove the pressure in the hydraulic system by loosening the screw.
But remember that there is still pressure in the brake accumulator.
Bleeding
You should occasionally bleed the hydraulic system by opening the bleed screw (no fluid will come out) and let the car idle for 5-10 minutes.
Then tighten the bleed screw and lift the car up and down 5-6 times. Loosen and tighten the bleed screw again.
Then put the car at it's normal height.

Bleed Screw
To remove the pressure the screw must be unscrewed 1 - 1½ turns. It must not be taken out completely,
because then you could lose the ball bearing that is located inside.

W A R N I N G
When you must turn the bleed screw with the engine running, you must be very careful not to
get caught in the drive belts. Stand steady and hold onto something with your right hand.
Do not wear loose clothing, scarves, ties, long hair, etc.
Neither a long beard, because you could get the opposite of face lifting...
(Is this where the expression "long face" comes from ...?)
