The drawing is borrowed from the Citroën CX service manual
Place 5.5 mm behind the upper part of the clutch pedal and place a wooden stick or similar
under it so that the pedal is locked. Loosen the lock nut under the engine, tighten
the adjusting nut until you feel resistance, then tighten the lock nut again.
The clutch pedal should now have 13.5 cm travel.

Check, lubricate and, if necessary, adjust every 20,000 km.
Replace the clutch cable if it is old, or at least have a new one in the car.
