• Loosen the upper fastener on the air filter holder to allow enough space to remove the air filter.

• If you use compressed air for cleaning, you must take care to do it outdoors. Also use an N95 mask, there will be a lot of dust in the air.

• Put silicone on the gaskets.

• Check that the rubber gaskets under the two feet of the air filter holder are in place.

• Check if there is rust on the air filter holder (especially the area you see in the drawing), and if so brush on Owatrol etc.

The air filter must be replaced at regular intervals. In addition, it occasionally needs to be taken out and cleaned. It is then common to use compressed air. But the correct thing to do is to clean the filter in petrol, dry it and then insert it with a mixture of one part engine oil and four parts petrol.

If you have problems with the car running poorly when you give it a lot of gas, and there is also brown-black smoke coming from the exhaust, you can assume that the air filter is clogged.
