Timing belt
Replace the timing belt every 80.000 km or every 4 years (whichever comes first). Check every 20.000 km.
Replace the tensioning wheel if necessary. (Buy belt and tension roller as a set.)
The timing belt breaks
If the timing belt breaks the engine stops and you can not start again. You must then install a new timing belt and remove the pushrods and straighten out those who are bent. Hopefully the valves have not been damaged.
