Bleed screws

Get the habit of opening and tightening the bleed screws every time you switch between summer and winter wheels. That way you get a little LHM into the threads so that they are not corroding. And remember to put on caps.

Warning


To get out the bit that is left can be difficult. It might work to warm it up strongly, knocking in a Torx-bit and screw it out when it is cold again.

The simplest may be to switch to another caliper with OK drain screw (rear). In the front, it would be enough to replace the half-caliper, if you have the same type.
