Under the windshield gasket: Rust

If it gets wet in the area below the A-pillar, you can assume that it is a hole under the windscreen gasket. This is a tedious problem, since the only way to get it repaired is to remove the windscreen.

To confirm if this is where the leak is, you can do the following:

Pull up the carpets and dry the interior. Put insulation tape on both sides (onto the window and onto the paint) of the windscreen gasket all the way around. Make sure the tape seals properly. Then sprinkle the car with water in an hour. Is the car still dry inside after this, probably there is a hole under the gasket.
Then remove the tape and sprinkle the car again: If it now gets wet inside you know where the problem is.
(You probably need a new windscreen anyway;)
