Replacing the oil pressure gauge

Secure the new gauge with a long cord through the hole of the flat pin before installation.

The oil pressure gauge can be found below the oil filter, on the right side (passenger side). Unscrewing this may at first look hopelessly difficult, but it can be done.

Remove the hose for the diesel return (the one connected to the blue gadgets) and push the hoses over to the left. Feel free to also remove the oil filter. Remove the cord. Loosen the gauge with a 22/24mm spanner (hold the spanner with your left hand and give it a strong blow with the back of your right hand). Pry down with your right hand (with the palm facing the filter holder) and unscrew with thumb and forefinger. (Make sure that the bolt for the motor mount has the nut facing the diesel pump, otherwise it will be far too tight.)

Here the oil filter has been removed.
