The CX basically has three different gearboxes.

1. The manual gearbox first came with four gears, and then with five. The ratio varies according to which engine it is connected to.
2. C-MATIC is a semi-automatic gearbox with three gears. It works like a regular gearbox, but you don't have to use a clutch.
3. And finally, you have the automatic gearbox.
