Checking the level

                                                   


C-MATIC

  1. The car must be parked on a level surface, and the engine must be cold.
  2. Secure the front wheels and apply the handbrake.
  3. Start the engine and let it idle.
  4. Put the gear lever in 3rd gear and move it slightly to activate the electrovalve that controls the clutch (you will hear a click). Do this 12 times.
  5. Check the level (with the engine still running and the gear lever in P).


Check the oil level 5-6 times a year.

C-MATIC

  1. With warm engine; drain the oil.
  2. Remove metal shavings from the bottom plugs, clean them and put them back fitted with new copper stop washers.
  3. Use a funnel and fill with new oil (2-3 litres). Check the level.
  4. Secure the front wheels and apply the handbrake.
  5. Start the engine and let it idle.
  6. Place the gear lever in 3rd gear and move it slightly to activate the electrovalve that controls the clutch (you will hear a click). Do this 12 times.
  7. Check the level (with the engine still running and the gear lever in P).
