Checking the level

MANUAL

  1. The car must be parked on a level surface, and the engine must be cold.
  2. Pull up the dipstick (under the spare wheel) and wipe it with a paper.
  3. Put it back carefully (use a torch) and wait a bit.
  4. Pull it up again and read the oil level. It must be between the two measuring lines.
  5. If it is too little, you fill in a little, if it is too much, you drain a little.

Check the oil level three to four times a year.

Oil change

Tip: Perhaps the synchronization will last longer on a 4-speed gearbox, if you use oil designed for C-matic.

Hairy bottom plugs.

MANUAL

  1. With warm engine: Drain the oil.
  2. Remove metal shavings from the bottom plugs, clean them and put them back fitted with new copper stop washers.
  3. Use a funnel and fill with new oil.
  4. Wait 10 minutes, change gears 10-12 times and check the level.

It is easiest to fill up with oil where the reversing light switch is located. Remember to clean well before unscrewing it.
