Problem

Air in the diesel pump.                        

Bleeding the diesel pump

  1. Loosen the return hose (arrow) on top of the pump.
  2. Turn on the ignition and then turn the key back slightly so that the glow plugs are not on.
  3. Pump (on the diesel filter) until diesel comes out.
  4. Screw on the return hose.
  5. Turn off the ignition.
  6. Wash away diesel spills.
