The cold start regulator provides higher rpm at idle when the engine is cold.


Control

When the engine is cold, 7 shall be tightened.
With a warm engine, 7 shall be loose.
If this does not work, even after 4 (or 6) has been adjusted, the regulator which is screwed into the engine must be replaced.

• The cable must change length by a minimum of 6 mm between hot and cold if the regulator is OK.


Replacement

CAUTION - weak threads, screw carefully. Refill antifreeze and bleed both air nipples.
