The armrests might be hard because the foam inside is old and dry. The fabric may not be completely clean anymore either.

Arm rests

Remove the door panel: See rear door.

1. Unscrew the two small nuts and remove the armrest.
2. Pull out the pins at the rear and sides.
3. Squeeze up the plastic latch in the middle and remove the foam.
4. Wash the fabric.
5. Cut new foam or put thin soft foam on top of the old foam.
6. Put on the fabric again: first the rear and then the sides.
7. Mount the armrest (apply oil to the screws).
