BATTERY
Norsk

• Charge the battery with the battery charger 2–3 times a year.

• Use a charger that stops charging automatically when the battery is fully charged.

When starting the car the battery will get a little discharged, and when driving, the alternator will fill it up again.
But, with a lot of "small" driving the battery will not get the time to charge completely, and will gradually get empty. Then you will have to occasionally use the battery charger. This is especially true in the winter, because an ice-cold engine is harder to start, and heating wires and heated seats drag additional power.

• If the charge indicator lamp doesn't go off after the car has started, you just need to press the accelerator down a little bit. But wait until the vehicle is in the driving position.

Problem

The battery gets discharged all the time, but the charging light does not light.

This behavior can occur if the thin wire that is connected to the alternator is broken.
When you turn on the ignition to charge lamp will be lit. If it does not, this could be the problem.

• Always look for whether the charge light comes on when you turn on the ignition.

Here we can see that the wire is off, and only the cable shoe is left.

Here the new wire is reinforced.
